Roots & Tubers

We are a major force in the commercial production and industrial supply of premium staple root and tuber crops. Our operations focus on maximizing yield and nutritional value to ensure food security and provide high-quality raw materials for both local and international markets.

  • Orange-Fleshed Sweet Potato (OFSP): Our flagship crop. We are pioneers in the large-scale cultivation of OFSP, a biofortified "superfood" rich in Beta-carotene (Vitamin A). It serves as the primary base for our fresh exports and our innovative puree and flour processing lines.

  • Yam: We produce premium Ghanaian yams, adhering to strict export quality standards. Our yams are a staple in our international trade portfolio, particularly for markets in the UK and Europe.

  • To meet the rising global demand for healthy starches and nutritional staples, we are aggressively expanding our production capacity:

    • Acreage Expansion: Moving toward a target of 15,000 acres of cultivated land by 2027.

    • Year-Round Supply: By utilizing advanced pivot irrigation and climate-smart farming techniques, we overcome seasonal limitations, ensuring a consistent supply of roots and tubers regardless of the weather.

    • Research & Development: We operate a plant tissue culture laboratory to propagate disease-free, high-yielding vines and seedlings, ensuring the genetic quality of our crops from the very start.

Industrial Value Chain & Innovation

Our tubers are the foundation of our import-substitution strategy. By processing these crops into puree and high-quality flours, we provide local industries with affordable, nutrient-dense alternatives to imported wheat and industrial raw materials.
